Revacuuming & Wiping

Why should I care about revacuuming and wiping the interior of my car?

The primary reason why we like to vacuum the interior again is because we pride ourselves on being thorough as professionals. When it comes to cleaning the interior, it really boils down to your personal preference. Ideally, you should clean it at least twice a year, but some people like to clean it monthly, weekly, or even every couple of days. Since your car is in our car, we like to vacuum the interior again just to get any remaining dirt, debris, or grime that we may have missed the first time.

When it comes to wiping the interior of your car, we like to take our time in order to be as thorough as possible. It goes without saying that having a clean dashboard is something that every car owner must have. Not only is it a matter of taking pride in the aesthetics of your car, but more importantly having a clean dashboard will keep you and your passengers safe and healthy. This is because car dashboards are quite filthy since they’re not cleaned out as often as they should, which allows plenty of bacteria and germs to grow over time. If you or a passenger is prone to getting ill easier from an unclean environment, especially since you’re in close proximity to it on a frequent basis. Furthermore, a lot of dirt, debris, and grime will accumulate around the tight spaces like the gaps between the steering wheel, the edges within the gear shift, and the indentation within the gauge cluster. We’ll also wipe down the areas that you don’t normally think about such as the interior of the glove box, underneath the car seats, the metal fasteners and molded clasps of your seat belts, and the sides of the trunk as well. The tools we use for this are a microfiber dust cloth and an eco-friendly cleaning spray designed for interior car surfaces.

It’s worth mentioning that for the door panels, we’ll adjust the type of cleaning conditioner we use to wipe those down depending on the type of material that composes said door panels. Typically we’ll have the doors open so we can better wipe down the finishes and wipe out the side pockets. It also will allow any dirt that’s been collecting on the door panels to fall outside of the car. We’ll also wipe down the pedals with an eco-friendly car interior spray as this is an area that’s often neglected. We also make sure to get rid of any extra residue that’s left on the pedals afterwards since slippery pedals can lead to a driving accident.

One area that we wipe down when we’re detailing the inside of your car is the vent grates. Most drivers and passengers adjust and shift the grates so much that you don’t really notice the dust that collects between them. What’s more is that your fingers are typically greasy from handling fast food and those oils can easily get on your vents. While some may use cotton swabs or q-tips to clean vent grates, we simply use a fine brush doused in our eco-friendly interior car spray and a microfiber towel to remove any excess residue between each grate.
